All Kyocera monochrome printers and multifunction printers (MFP) tested by Buyers Lab in the last year received “Highly Recommended” ratings, and four devices garnered individual “Pick of the Year” awards.
“Kyocera’s monochrome printers and MFPs have outperformed all others, not only providing strong reliability in BLI’s thorough lab testing, but delivering superb value as well,” said David Sweetnam, BLI’s European Lab Manager. “After rigorously evaluating the performance, features and value proposition of a broad range of monochrome models, Kyocera products proved to be strongest in the value and performance they offer the end user. Kyocera’s monochrome printers and MFPs are highly reliable and robust workhorses that can easily withstand the stresses of busy workgroups, while being easy on the wallet.”
This prestigious award is given to manufacturers whose printers demonstrate excellence across the entire product line after being subjected to months of rigorous product testing by BLI’s highly-experienced staff of technicians and editors. Factors considered by BLI in selecting “Line of the Year” include reliability, overall economy, ease of use, print quality and productivity, among others.

The typical used toner cartridge weighs about 3 pounds and is composed of 40% plastic, 40% metal, and smaller percentages of rubber, foam, and toner. The plastic is made of engineering-grade polymers and takes at least 1,000 years to decompose. Yikes!
Integrating remanufactured toner cartridges saves both small and large companies up to 50% a year in savings as compared to buying new OEM supplies.

With new electronics products hitting the market almost daily, disposal of that growing stash of outdated and obsolete gadgets can be a daunting task.
Many devices, such as cellphones, computers and televisions, contain toxic materials in addition to imbedded personal information about the owner.
To ease the burden, a number of retailers have developed programs for recycling electronics products. Target, which recycles glass, plastic and aluminum in addition to small electronics, launched its program last year and reported it found the option to be a hit with consumers.
